Our Mission
Our mission is to provide continuous and sustaining financial resources in support of the Mahomet Area Youth Club.
The MAYC Foundation is an independent organization, solely dedicated to ensuring the future operation of the Mahomet Area Youth Club. We are a charitable organization that depends upon private donations and public support. Please join us in creating bright and safe futures for our children in the Mahomet-Seymour community.
The unwavering commitment and dedication of the Mahomet Area Youth Club (MAYC) Foundation has played a pivotal role in enhancing the growth and development of MAYC. This can be seen through financial support, scholarship opportunities for students who have experienced MAYC, and community engagement. The teamwork between MAYC and the MAYC Foundation has created a great force for positive change in our community through collaboration, which has helped us at Mahomet Area Youth Club fulfill our mission of nurturing, educating, and empowering the youth of Mahomet.
Brii Buchanan, Executive Director of MAYC
We Are Committed to...
MAYC Operations: our charitable purpose is to annually provide a reliable source of financial support to MAYC.
MAYC’s Future: our philanthropic goal is to build an endowment to ensure MAYC’s long-term viability.
Lee Jessup Youth Leadership Award and Scholarship: created to honor the memory and legacy of Lee Jessup, an original member of the MAYC board and founding president of the MAYC Foundation board. This program annually awards one $500 post-secondary scholarship to an MSHS senior who has participated in MAYC. The scholarship is renewable for an additional three years if qualifications are met.
Special Projects: as needed, we provide financial support to assist with unexpected needs, new opportunities, and special programs so MAYC can continue their positive impact on Mahomet area youth.
